CHAPELS ➤
There is a small chapel at North Watford Cemetery that seats 60. A CD player is available to play music.
FUNERAL DIRECTOR ➤
A Funeral Director will make the necessary arrangements with the Cemetery Manager to ensure that burials are performed with due respect and efficiency.
CREMATIONS ➤
We do not carry out cremations at our cemeteries. The nearest is West Herts Crematorium
CARE OF GRAVES ➤
Whilst maintenance of individual graves on a contractual basis is no longer carried out, grave spaces will be kept maintained.
Both North Watford and Vicarage Road cemeteries are open every day of the year, including weekends, bank holidays and Christmas.
The hours of opening and closing for both cemeteries are as follows:

January, February, November and December: 9am - 4pm

March and October: 9am - 6pm

April, May and September: 9am - 7pm

June - August: 9am - 8pm
The office is open Monday to Friday 8:00am to 4:00pm. To avoid disappointment we strongly recommend that you contact the office and make an appointment with a member of our team.
Each of our cemeteries offer sections of ground to cater for different religious denominations.
We continually work hard with our partners Veolia to maintain a dignified and respectful atmosphere, and our gardeners take considerable personal pride in the beautiful gardens they create. Spring and summer planting is carried out every year to make the best of the wonderful space we have. Grass is cut during the growing season which is March – October.
